Las Ramblas is a tree-lined pedestrian avenue that runs through the heart of Barcelona and is filled with souvenir shops, hotels and tapas bars and is a wonderful place to watch the fascinating goings-on and happenings of the people of Barcelona. One of the attractions of Las Ramblas are the street artists who ply their trade here, some of whom are really very good. Unfortunately, there are others who ply their trade here and who are equally good, namely pickpockets, so be forewarned and enjoy all that the avenue has to offer but keep an eye out for the nimble fingered.
