Paris Sights, Sounds and Hotels

The Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, was built by Gustave Eiffel for the World Exhibition of 1889 held to honour the centenary of the French Revolution. It was recorded as the world's tallest structure until 1930, and still dominates the Paris skyline. You can climb up to the third floor and also all around this fascinating metal structure, and although there are breathtaking views from all levels, an elevator completes the journey to the top for absolutely astonishing views of Paris from 350m. At first, Paris’ influential artistic and literary masters opposed the tower, and it was very nearly abolished, but thankfully substantiated itself as the perfect platform for the antennas used for radiotelegraphy.

Paris’ Eiffel Tower is world renown. How can you not go see something that you’ve heard so much about? All you need to do is take a look at the various superior Paris hotels to arrange accommodation, and off you go to dine in chic Paris restaurants
